      No I told you in class and I also sent you a message on LMS to study the stories in units 2 and 3 and to understand the concepts of "Critical Reading & Thinking".

    Hello Mr. Farran

    I wanted to tell you about something that's happening in our class EL121N and I hope you help me out.

    there's this thing when you pair two students together some times I end up with a not working partner and basically all they do is write all I wrote from answers and conclusions on their paper and act that they came up with the answers and it frustrates me to no end its basically cheating right?

    I don't know how to tell them off, every time I ask them to at least answer a simple question and I'll definitely help them out but they don't listen to my advice.

    And with the new assignment you gave us I'll end up answering all the question's and discussing them with myself ahaha :')

    I just want a simple and very polite way to tell them off or something to let them at least work a little with me.

    I hope i didn't give you a headache with my long rant eheh.

      Hello there stranger, first of all thank you for informing me about such an incident. I was hoping that the students would be smart and mature enough to make the most out of the situation and hopefully exchange thought-provoking ideas. Students can learn a lot from one another (if done properly).

      Well my advice to you is to come and see me in my office and we will arrange something together without hurting anyone's feelings.

      You can also tell your partner that it's important for you to have someone who will exchange and discuss the ideas, if that person refuses to do so, I will gladly change her for someone who is more serious about learning.

      I will also send a message on LMS informing everyone to work properly.

      Let me know if this persists, I will take action (without causing a commotion) and make sure that you are paired up with someone who will benefit you as you are going to do to them :)

      I talked to another student and she's struggling with the same situation so we kinda wanna pair up together but we don't know how to get rid of our original partners, okay that's mean :')

      Well it won't hurt to discuss the questions with your dysfunctional partner and also with the other student struggling as well :)
